Travel updates

Please note that we have important news concerning works taking place at the Domestic Airport of Rio de Janeiro and also at the Manaus Airport.

Rio de Janeiro Domestic Airport – SDU
Please note that between August 24th and September 21st 2019 there will be renovations at the landing runaway of Santos Dumont domestic airport of Rio de Janeiro.

During this period most domestic flights will operate from the International Airport Galeão – Tom Jobim Airport (GIG).

LATAM airlines has confirmed that all flights will be moved.  Gol and Azul airlines are still to inform the changes.
Due to the extra flow at the International Airport during this period transfer time from the hotels to the airport will be adjusted according to needs.

Manaus International Airport
Manaus International Airport will have limited operation until December 20th, 2019.
On Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays the airport will close at 4pm and reopen at 11pm.
On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday the airport will close at 5 pm and reopen at 11 pm.
On Sunday the airport will operate all day long.

We would like to recommend to reconfirm your flight schedule in these cities during the mentioned periods.

These discounted fares are also available through your IATA / ARC travel agent. Travel agents can obtain ticketing instructions by sending an email to lufthansa.mobility@dlh.de and providing the access code as a reference.
